Management Training
Your training is designed to prepare you to perform the expected supervisory responsibilities of a Denny's Restaurant Manager.  These responsibilities vary by shift and day of the week.  The training provided to you focuses on the daily operational responsibilities of a manager.

You will work with a Certified Area Training Manager using daily training plans that provide a structure for conducting training.  The recommended daily training plans provide an outline that works well and can be modified to meet your individual background experience, demonstrated skills and abilities.  This individualization to your training determines the length of time needed to complete the program. The average time spent in training is between ten and eleven weeks.

You're going to be managing yourself and at least four different employee positions in a restaurant.  Along with knowing your job, you will have to know the requirements and expectations of each position.  Your training incorporates each of our employee training programs to teach you these responsibilities and to give you the experience of how each of the training programs should be conducted.

Your responsibilities as a manager begin early in your training.  Even while completing the employee training programs you will begin to assume management responsibilities.  Throughout training, as your knowledge and competency increase, you will be taught and given additional responsibilities until you have everything you need to effectively manage a shift at Denny's.

Written knowledge tests, performance checklists, learning aids, learning exercises and training progress appraisals are all used during training to provide you the feedback to become the best manager you can be.

Select workshops are identified that will be completed during this training and other workshops will be identified for completion in your first year with Denny's.  These workshops will benefit your career growth and development.

Your final week in training will be applying your knowledge and skills in your assigned restaurant and working with the General Manager.  Your career with Denny's is on it's way.  You hold the keys to be a leader in Denny's commitment to provide:
