(November 22, 2016) – Denny’s is pleased to announce its presence at the Nickelodeon HALO Awards 2016, an hour-long concert special honoring four young community leaders who are changing the world by “Helping and Leading Others” (HALO). Denny’s is one of the proud presenting sponsors of the inspirational music event, premiering Sunday, Nov. 27, at 7 p.m. (ET/PT) across Nickelodeon, TeenNick and Nicktoons.

As part of the Nickelodeon HALO Awards 2016, Denny’s will highlight and raise awareness for its Hungry for Education Program, which celebrates and awards students that have made efforts to fight hunger in their communities through education and creativity. Denny’s also partnered with Nickelodeon to award each teen honoree with a $10,000 scholarship in recognition of their inspiring efforts and positive impact they’ve had on their communities.
Attendees at the Nickelodeon HALO Awards taping held on Friday, Nov. 11, at New York’s Pier 36, had the opportunity to learn more about Denny’s Hungry for Education program and get some inspiration of their own by visiting the diner’s on-site station. Kids were also able to join Denny’s in decorating custom sack bags with creative messages about fighting childhood hunger.
